Leatherman’s newly acquired PocketToolX’s range of simple, clever, pocket- and keyring-friendly multi-tools promise to be the exasperated shoppers survival tool for gifting the man who has everything…

Though Leatherman has only just announced their deal locally, it’s not really news anymore. This buyout happened earlier this year. The snippet gearheads and outdoor enthusiasts in the southern hemisphere are pricking their ears up over is Leatherman agents – Awesome Tools – are pushing to get these uber-nifty one-piece multi-tools into retail stores during November.

Leatherman will sell the new range under the Leatherman brand name but will retain the existing PocketToolX model names: The Brewzer Keychain Tool, Mako Bike Tool, the Piranha and Piranha Ti (titanium) Pocket Tools. All Leatherman’s new single-piece multi-tools will also be covered under the company’s 25-year, no-questions-asked warranty. Mop that brow.

If you don’t know what the PocketToolX excitement is about, sit down and take a deep breath. These things are flipping cool.
